Quality of Life
We are all seeking quality of life! How we experience quality of life depends on many things of course. Access to clean water, fresh air and healthy foods is so very fundamental that it seems inevitable that we work hard on protecting, restoring and creating these life quality foundations - especially as we realize these resources are becoming scarce.
The ecological agriculture and food movements are very dedicated to this particular set of goals and to working with nature in such a way as to ensure ecological health on Earth as the very basis for a healthy, peaceful, dignified future.
Quality of life is also cultural, social and spiritual. Every human has the inborn need for cultural, social and spiritual development and freedom. In this sense, the ecological movement is also a movement for individual freedoms, for cultural, social and spiritual freedoms on an equal footing with the physical ecology. The sanctity of individual, cultural, social and spiritual ecology is part and parcel of the sanctity of the overall resource ecology of our Earth and humanity.
There have been many significant thinkers, teachers, researchers, activists, entrepreneurs and pioneers of all kinds working towards various aspects of an ecological future. In these pages mention will be made of several such individuals and links to websites about them will be included. Much of the work I do, is inspired by these courageous people and it is significant to note their contributions.
More to come soon...
